How does the course work?
- Every Monday a new lesson/topic will be opened. At that time, you’ll receive an email from Dr. Megan Clayton announcing the opened lesson along with some tips to get the most out of the material covered. You may access and complete the weekly lesson and activity at ANY time (day or night) during the week. Most of our participants still work full time or have ranch work to complete, so YOU get to dictate when “class time” happens!
- Print or save the handout with the instructor’s contact information and resources websites, etc.
- Be sure to download any accompanying materials/publications.
- The lesson will be a series of videos. Be sure to take your own notes as you will not have access to the videos after the course is completed.
- After you have finished the lesson, you will download the Activity, complete it, and submit it through “activity submission” on the website
Can I take the course using an iPad or tablet?
Yes, you can access the course content on an iPad or other tablet device. However, we strongly recommend using a laptop or desktop computer to complete the weekly activities. This helps prevent technical issues and ensures your final business plan looks professional. While it’s possible to complete the activities on an iPad or other tablet device, please know that you may encounter some limitations that require extra steps or workarounds.
What happens if I get behind?
Do your best not to get behind! We are purposefully concentrating on only one topic per week and applying the information to your specific situation. We’ll be working hard to make sure you stay up with your lessons, so you get the most out of this class. We’ve seen how valuable it can be and don’t want you to miss out! However, you will have access to past sessions throughout the remainder of the course.
How long do I have to complete the course?
Your activities will need to be submitted by the end of the 12th week of the course. Be sure to download resources and take notes each week as you’ll no longer have access to the course shortly after the last session ends.
Will there be an opportunity to meet as a class to exchange ideas/ask questions?
YES! During the course, we’ll hold two optional, question and answer webinars in the evening. Your attendance is not required but is encouraged.
